KhayyamOmar Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet.[3][4][5] He was born in Nishapur, in northeastern Iran, and spent most of his life near the court of the Karakhanid and Seljuq rulers in the period which witnessed the First Crusade.
FerdowsiAbu ʾl-Qasim Firdowsi Tusi (c. 940–1020), or Ferdowsi[1] (also transliterated as Firdawsi, Firdusi, Firdosi, Firdausi) was a Persian poet[2][3] and the author of Shahnameh ("Book of Kings"), which is the worlds longest epic poem created by a single poet, and the national epic of Greater Iran. Ferdowsi is celebrated as the most influential figure in Persian literature and one of the greatest in the history of literature.
